I have some more too..

http://simplythebest.net/fonts/

http://www.scrapvill...om/fonts123.htm

This is a cool site for Band Fonts PC Only:

http://www.getsomeno...and%20Fonts.htm

Japanese:

http://www.travelphr...s_Japanese.html

This guy has a nice colletion of freeware fonts

http://www.smeltery.net

A cool site that allows you to create a font from your own handwriting..

http://www.fontifier.com/template.html

Some lovely Pixel/bitmap/programming fonts (freeware)

http://www.proggyfonts.com

And if you have tons and tons of fonts that slow your system down, Its good to get a font manager. There is a freeware one here:

http://software.fonthit.com/

Let me know if you find them useful.. (perhaps this topic should be sticky??)

yes, i believe it does, but if you want a really good manager, i recommend Extensis Suitcase /www.download.com/Suitcase-for-Windows/3000-2316_4-10497472.html?tag=lst-0-2 its pricey though. It lets you create temporary fonts, custom sets for use and allows you to set preferences for different programms. I have a disc that i bought with 10000 commercial fonts on it, and its been a godsend for managing them.

Usually i avoid to quote software that are no open source and not even free for personal use.

But your suggestion seems quite interesting...and i believe that no any rules could be fair if doesn't allow exception.

So i will add it to the topic soon...as interesting ,handy but commercial tool.

Extensis is now OnetoOneSoftware and all his SW are really good, mostly Shareware, i knew the PS plugins, i overlook that font tool

Hmm. I checked the links and they are all working fine for me!

Also, PC.. i understand what your saying about commercial tools. I obviously would say to only get something like Extensis if GFX was your main major hobby or even in some cases - your job. If you are going to download hundreds (or thousands in some cases) then your system will become slow and may even crash. I agree with open source and whatever you can get for free is great, but you can buy good commercial software at bargain prices if you shop around a little.

Well, I think it's just because of some other program I just install on my computer....

Or, my browser was just saving those ones under an invaild file type....

But none the less, I got at least 25 new fronts, like Christmas in July (August) ^_^

Its fully functioning but its got a time limit and a nag screen. I think its 30 days, but you better check first as companies often change it.

Linux users kinda get the best of both worlds. They can use truetype fonts as well as postscript fonts.

Gimp users can also use PS fonts on Windows, but only in programs like Gimp that support them. Just put the PS fonts into another directory and add it to your Gimp fonts folders.

Heh, I was wondering if I could download fonts to GIMPshop, although I had an idea that it was possible. Guess I'm not into the whole "exploring" thing. Anyway, thanks though, I'll definitely download some. :). Tee hee. Perhaps I'll edit too and add a few links if I maybe "Google it." Hmmmmmm. Thanks guys!
