Frosty Text

My Results:

Tutorials:

- Create a 400X150 Transparent Image.

- Edit>Fill With Forground Color

- Image>Transform 90 Degrees CW

- Filters>Distorts>Wind(Set Threshold:10 Strength:5)

- Image>Transform 90 Degrees CCW

- Duplicate the Text Layer.

- Go to the bottom layer.

- Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur(X,Y=4)

- Go to Top Layer.

- Layers>Colors>Levels

- Set Red Output: 4 *BOTH SIDES* Set Green OutPut: 191 *BOTH SIDES*

- Set the Top layers Mode to: Addition.

BONUS:

1. Making it Transparent:

- Delete the background layer.

2. Adding a Drop-Shadow:

- Delete the background layer.

- Script-Fu>Shadow>Drop-Shadow(Leave all setting as they are)

3. Adding Extra Ice:

- Image>Transform>Rotate 90 Degrees CW

- Filters>Distorts>Wind(Leave Settings as is)

- Image>Transform>Rotate 90 Degrees CCW

Wait wait wait. Step 6 says duplicate text layer. When do I make my first text layer?

Add step 2.5 Using white text type in your message.

Oh, Yes by the way assuming that this is a "Text" Tutorials you do have to add text to do it I didnt think I'd have to add that step to my list of steps, anyway...

After you write/create you text which will be before you flip your image Clock-Wise. When you at this step click on your text tool and adjust your font to 40 and your font to BASE_02 which is one of my favorites and it can be found at dafont.com. Add your lettering and then flip it and follow the steps for the distort of wind and then flip it ccw and and go to Layers menu dupe it and your set. Wala... not so hard is it eh m8? :w:

Hey man i so want this but i have some questions
1) Do i have to use any specific font?
2) So the frist step is like just to go new 400/... transperent .....? or is this after we have opened up a sig or new background?
3)Also plz explain the part about layers>colors>levels and reoutput stuff... i dont see any thing in the level dialog that says red output or green and what you mean by both and where does the 4,191 go plz tell me i love outcome!
