Now, grab your paths tool:

And make a path something like this:

(outlined in yellow)
If you are having trouble with making paths curvy and whatnot, fencepost has a great tut on paths.
Now, select this brush here:

And make sure that your colors are like so...

Good so far? Okay, now hit (under the paths toolbox) "Stroke Path"

So far so good, now just hit okay and your image should look like this

Now make your brush this:

And your color this: (the hex value is there if you want it)

Now go back to your paths toolbox (do not click on another tool while doing this, it WILL erase your path!!) and hit stroke or whatever and you should end up like this:

Startin' to look like a wire yet?
One last thing: Make a new layer and put the wire on that top layer.
The best way to do this is just to hit Ctrl-A, Ctrl-X, select top layer, and hit Ctrl-V, then anchor.
Choose this brush:
NOTE*** The brush might have to be bigger, i'm not sure if this is the right screenshot out of all the others :)
and make the color black again. Now brush where I have (the black circles)

and you have a complete wire with holes!! :) w00t!!
