OK first thing this tutorial is broke into two part One for FireFox and one for IE. I f either of these methods don't work in your web browser sorry!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireFox - Downloading and installing Scripts and Gradients

First we are going to downlaod and install a script.
For this tutorial i am gonna use Kward1979uk's Brush Batch Script!

Steps:

1: Click this link ***Brush Batch Script Link*** this will take you to a page that looks like this

Example
Posted Image
This is the source code for the script.

2: Click File>Save Page As a save as dialog box will pop up
Posted Image

Going through the numbers
1: Navigate to your Gimp Script folder in windows os it is located here
\program files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts
2: Just type .scm at the end of the file name. Like this Brush_Batch.scm.
Any script you save that is psoted as code just do the same type .scm at the end!
3: Click the down arrow and select All Files
4: Click Save

Now when you reset Gimp the script will show up in your Xtrs>Script-Fu>Gimptalk.com>Brush_Batch

There you have it Easy!

Internet Explorer Downloading and Installing Scripts

Click the link to the script above
Click Edit>Select All or CTRL+A
Click Edit>Copy or CTRL+C
Open a text editor – Notepad will work just fine
Click Edit>Paste or CTRL+V
Click File>Save As
You will get a dialog box like the one from FireFox
make sure the setting are all the same the only difference is you need to type in the full name of the script with the .scm at the end
Click save and restart gimp.

Downloading and installing Gradients
For which ever browser you are using just follow the above direction but
1: Navagate to your gradient dir in windows OS it is located here
\program files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\gradients
2: Type .ggr at the end of the file name

what os are you useing?

Ok i am thinking you are useing Windows if so \program files is a very generic way of saying C:\Program Files. I don't put the "C" there because i have my system set up diffrent and so do alot of others.

You should really know where your Program Files Dir is because of it being one of the most important Directories on your computer if you are useing windows.

right click the start button and chose Explore... The windo that pops up will display the system tree on the left (if your computer is set up differently and the tree is not there then click the folders button on the top tool bar) which displays all the folders on your system (except hidden files).. Click on the Local disk (C:) you should then see Program files listed on the right window pane..

I don't understand this at all. The IE tutorial doesn't make sense. The last part isn't described well enough.

"You will get a dialog box like the one from FireFox

Click save and restart gimp."

I saved a file to the Gimp scripts folder, then I restarted gimp, it wasn't there. I think my problem is that I have no clue what you're talking about when you say "type the full name of the script". What is the full name of the script? How do I figure that out? I'm trying to get the electricity logo script, I saved it as "electricity logo.scm". What am I doing wrong?

I can't send a PM yet (less than 10 post) so I am posting my problem here:

I am trying to convert photoshop brushes to gimp one. I am using your script. What it gives me is followin error

Error while executing
(brush-batch "/home/phoenix/brush/Abstract_Brushes" 3 "Abstract_Brushes_27-" "Abstract_Brushes_27-" 25 "/home/phoenix/brbrbrbrbrbr/Abstract_Brushes")

Error: set!: unbound variable: a
I have two folders. One for original photoshop brushes already converted to *.png which contains

ls /home/phoenix/brush/Abstract_Brushes/
Abstract_Brushes_271.png Abstract_Brushes_273.png Abstract_Brushes_275.png Abstract_Brushes_277.png
Abstract_Brushes_272.png Abstract_Brushes_274.png Abstract_Brushes_276.png

and another empty one where i want to save brushes.
/home/phoenix/brbrbrbrbrbr/Abstract_Brushes/
I have configured your script with following options:

I don't seem to have a scrips folder... I've been through Program Files>GIMP 2.0>GIMP>2.0 and the only folder there is "Brushes".

-__-

edit Well, I'm able to find my scripts folder, it's not there when I try to "save as" the word document.
