Here is a no word tutorial on drawing Mokona.

I did it in paint only because I don't know how to copy and paste a picture in Gimp.

But I can try an do a tutorial on coloring him in Gimp.

Hope this help all you Mokona fans out there

EDIT: You can print out if you want just don't take credit for the tutorial it's self.

That is a very clear tut, even I might be able to draw following it.

This is a nice tutorial -- easy to read, too. (Though I am wondering: why does number 8 have ears?)

We need to figure out how you can do that in GIMP. You are of course welcome to start a thread in the help forum.

Even if you prefer to use Paint for this, I would recommend as a final step -- after you've saved your BMP file in Paint -- open the BMP file in GIMP and save it as a PNG. You will find that the same image will only require 85 kilo-bytes in PNG format, whereas the BMP file is one hundred times that size (here is a link to your tutorial saved as a PNG).
Everybody makes their own fun. If you don't make it yourself it's not fun, it's entertainment.

Wow I just realized that saulgoode's avatar is a penguin using a rocket pack or something. I always thought it was someone on a dirtbike (and strangely enough, now that I know what it really is, I can't picture the dirtbike anymore).

Anyways, good tutorial, and as saul said, I'm not sure why there are ears on one step when they vanish on the next.

@saulgoode+zenma: I believe the 'ears' are actually hands, and Steps 8 and 9 just show variations where the hands are outstretched and held in, respectively.
Nice tutorial though, a basic cover of the character's anatomy. (:

That's exactly right I was doing Mokona's cute little hands  sorry for the mix up everyone  .

Does any one have any advice on how to point that out a little easier? Because I can see how some one not familiar with Mokona could make that mistake. :|

   I can make another one with Mokona's feet up like he's sitting if a few of you want me to.

Thanks for commenting, and if anyone else wants to CnC that's fine by me  :) .

P.S If you see letters in odd places it because my laptop spazzed out. :x  .

You could write 8a and 8b for that step.

Is 3 and 4 a duplicate?
Anyway, can't do it with a mouse, but I have done it on paper and with those instructions, I actually can draw this. Fun!

Mokona is cute, but don't know it's history. Cartoon? Comic Book? To me it looks like a cute little bunny. The name Mokona Puuu sounds hawaiian.

Mokona is the rabbit Critter from Magic Knight Rayearth/Tsubasa Chronicles (anime and manga).

His name is Mokona the sound he makes is puu, in rayearth he didn't talk but in tsubasa and xxx holic (with black Mokona) he does.

The animes are very enjoyable, good story.

Here is EP 37 part 1 good preview (vid not mine) its not normally in chibi forum it was a filler to the story:

Hope I helped.

Well, that is the first anime/manga I've ever seen. Mokona is very cute, so is his voice.

Nice tut. Easy and simple to follow.

Also, you seem to seriously be addicted to Mokona.
