Hello everyone again!
As announced some time ago I am pleased to introduce version 1.3 of GPS. (Gimp Paint Studio).
The truth is that their full potential is not discovered if not testing it for a while. I can tell you if you test it their tools do not disappoint you.
You can trust that the tools are ready to work hard and productively ...

Much has changed in GPS. from the logo, which now better reflects the project idea until I work with workspace, passing many experiments to find what I think is an alternative set of painting software. I have many things planned for 2010. (Mozart Couto know what i am talking about, greetings friend!) Now it's time for Action. So Let's make some noise!

GPS is growing and although they can be made to miss a few things in particular I think we are a very good way.
We can find many interesting things inside GPS 1.3
The first and most interesting? the 25 presets specifically designed for Sketching Art, including pens, graphite, and charcoal. for sure . but there is more ...

* NEW Presets Selection
* NEW Pencil tool Presets (Presets Pixel)
* NEW Eraser Presets
* NEW Paint FX presets
* NEW Smudge presets
* NEW G-Pen presets
* NEW 2009 palette

Another important development is the organization of presets for GIMP painter. about 30 approx. With whom you imitate painting styles or" manga style".

Therefore important: This version is fully functional with 2.6.x gimp gimp 2.7.x

Over the weeks we will be sharing opinions, but please be patient if it takes me a bit of time to answer ok?

Enjoy GPS!

For who wonder how to install and use Gimp Paint Studio

Quote

GPS manual in English..... The manual is completely revised and reorganized. In addition, this manual includes steps for both windows and linux OS. This will cover more people. I have tried everything to correct this guide as well as possible, but if you see a bug do not hesitate to send me a mail.We will gradually improve the documentation. This is important because many of the developers of GIMP communicate in English. So with this step we have a guide that can reach many more people including themselves.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy it. you can download in open document format. or in printable version in PDF

Oh wow! This is awesome. I really enjoyed the features of the first release. I'll try to mess around with this once I get it installed.

When this was first released, there wasn't an english install guide. What I did was open of the pdf file and copy pasted the Spanish into Google translator into English. Oh the convenience of a guide. lol

First post here - I'm prompted to respond to this as for me Gimp Paint Studio absolutely transformed my idea of what Gimp is capable of as a natural media package. It's what this software has needed all along.

I suggest you to check on the 2 links, there is also a series of video tutorial (not all in english, but mostly available with a english translation)
then you may post your question, with more detail here or in the help forum (Ramon visit often GT , here is TheShock and maybe also other may help)

I wrote more detail because i believe in the Manual is already something about using preset...anyway i found that often in this case the images from video tutorials may be very helpful

In the 1.2 manual it indicates the following:

Open the tool-options GPS in the folder and copy all its contents inside the folder "tool-options" to

~/.Gimp-2.6/tool-options

Won't this overwrite the tool options I have for myself? I would hate to have to go back any add back setting that I had configured for my workflow.
I know I'm in my own little world. But its ok. They know me HERE
