-To all GIMP users using *MACS*-
A very commonly asked question by all beginning GIMP users, is how to add scripts to the GIMP.
The truth is, it's very easy. You might think it would be hard, with GIMP being Open Source,
but it really is easy.
*Side notes*
What OS am I using?
I am using Mac OSX Leopard.
What version of GIMP am I using?
I'm currently using GIMP 2.6.3, although it shouldn't matter
what version of GIMP you are using for this tutorial to work.
I have written this tutorial in text, and also made a video tutorial of how to do it.
It may be easier to open the video in a new window, and follow using the video and text versions together.
Step one: Go to your desktop and open a new finder window.
Step two: Go to the Documents folder, located under -Users > Name > Documents-
Step three: Make a new folder and name it "GIMP scripts".
Step four: Download this script. http://registry.gimp.org/node/8180
Step three: Move the downloaded script into the folder you made. (GIMP scripts)
Step five: Open the GIMP and go to Edit>Preferences.
note: the location of the preferences dialogue may change from versions of GIMP.
Step six: Scroll down until you see the "Folders" tab. Click on it, then click on the "Scripts" tab.
Step seven: Click the the "New location" button. It looks like a blank piece of paper.
Step eight: Navigate to your Documents folder, then double click on the folder you created named "GIMP scripts".
Step nine: QUIT the gimp.
Step ten: Reopen gimp and under the "Script-Fu" tab on the Menu Bar, you should see a "Blur" tab
with the Lightsaber plugin in it.
