I know I complain a lot about people using cut and paste renders, so I thought why not post some links to other programs you can use to make your own renders.

Pros:
[*]The stuff you make is your own.
[*]Your not stuck with one view, you can pose your creation how ever you like.(fighting, etc)
[*]It's a lot easier to place your own renders in your images.

Cons:
[*]It takes a while to learn, but not as bad as you would think.
[*]There's not a lot of free programs out there.

Theses programs are all free, altho some may charge for professional use.

http://www.inkscape.org/ Perfect for use with The Gimp.
http://www.sodipodi.com/ Little dated but still good.

Or we can get away from damn sigs to begin with - how about move to actual art?

I tried 3d graphics [blender3d & wings3d]; it gave me an overall wish to just die.

Nice info though! :P

Well thats kinda what I was getting at, or at least something thats not a rectangle.

Thats a good start point, the hands good too, I gave my first one bones, and made some bad gestures.

Thats not bad, is it a robot or Princess Lea or both? lol
Honestly I dont really like Blender that much, sure its got a lot more functions, and its open source, but they made the gui way too complicated, and the built in render is lack luster.
I think your better off with Wings or Anim8or, and just using Pov-Ray to render.

Pootmister Id be interested to see what you could come up with in one of those programs.
