Wow very nice.
First one has really cool flow , with how it works off the direction of her legs. I think the c4ds also fit well and they could less dark to help bring them out more. Just below her left shoe there's a grayish. Streak of c4d and I think if more of them looked like that color it would make this easier to look at and much cooler looking. But the contrast of the whole thing is really cool and it all fits together pretty well. Really nice use of effects with the lightning type things.
Second has a cool atmosphere. I'd imagine that it's 4-5 images stitched together and they all fit really well. Having the sun in the sig, lighting is really important and it looks like every part of the sig reflects how the light should look accurately. The render coloring fits with the landscape and the sunflowers fit the background, so really cool matching and contrast there. Very unique style, it gives a cool vibe, I like it. Not much negative to say except that it might look better if it didn't look like the hat was floating. There's something for it to sit on on the left but not on the right. If you wanted it to be a little bit more dynamic you could add more of the flying petals that it's got on the bottom right. With the way parts of her dress are flying and the look of the windmill I think this would help to give a better impression of the wind.
Third is nice. I like how all three have such unique styles. The texture looks good and I like how the colors match up. The lighting is done really well with the shadows, especially with how distorted the circle's shadow looks and how the line's shadow is so bent. The font fits and the text in general does a good job of filling some negative space. If possible, I think it would look better if the circle covered the area where the colors converge. As is, there's something of a double focal and it just looks a bit awkward. But solid, I like it.

I've been checking a bit lately hoping the site would go back up. I don't think I ever really left but I did slow down a lot with artwork and a lot of familiar faces left and so there wasn't as much reason to post, but it's nice to see ya.
I'd like to be active again though assuming that people will realize the site is up and get back on here. I'm sure ill dust off gimp and try to put something together sometime this week.

Agreed, nice to see the site back up. This place is probably the best resource out there for gimp tuts and I think it's been underestimated how big of a deal the site is towards the popularity of the program. I'd hope there will be some kind of backup effort for the tutorials after this.

the colors looks good here, and the blending is nice. the lighting is kinda forced, the border could go, and the BG could use a few more effects. but nice c4d use, cool sig.

depends on the type of stock. do you need landscape stocks, or, like, people stocks?
