This is what you will learn how to make:

Alright! Let's start!
Ok first open a new file 400x120. It doesn't matter what your background color is. Just leave it white.
Render some lava now (Script-Fu-->Render-->Lava)

Seed: 10 Size: 10
Roughness: 35
Gradient: I used Shadows 1. But you can use any gradient you want.
Keep Selection: Checked
Seperate Layer: Checked
Use current gradient: Unchecked
Alright now press 'OK' and wait for it to finish
Your image should now look something like this:

Now duplicate the layer that the lava is on (Layer-->Duplicate Layer)

Now on the layer copy you just made, do a zoom motion blur (Filters-->Blur-->Motion Blur)

Select type 'Zoom'
Length: 16
X: 200
Y: 60
From the drop down menu select 'px' if not already selected.
Press 'OK' and let it finish.
It should look like this now:

Now we are going to want to put a 'cloth' over it. Go to (Script-Fu-->Alchemy-->Clothify)

Blur X: 9
Blur Y: 9
Azimuth: 135
Elevation: 45
Depth: 3
Now press 'OK' and let it finish.
It should now look something like:

Set the top layer mode to Screen. If you do not have your layer tab out, press Ctrl+L.

Now add the Clothify filter again (Scripft-Fu-->Alchemy-->Clothify.)
Use the same settings that you just used for this.
Tadah! If you did it correctly you should have ended up with something like this:

Now you can add your render or whatever. (Thank you planetrenders.net for the render)

I sure hoped that helped someone! Please leave comments and your results! :l:
