1. open up a blank canvas about 400 X 120
Posted Image

2. fill it with black
Posted Image

3. brush around using some white brushes then brush a little more but in black this time
Posted Image

4. (optional) go to layers | colors | invert

5. place your render where you want it
Posted Image

6. go to layers | colors | colorize and put the bg to a color that matches your render
Posted Image

7. Now add a few C4D's behind the render setting them at screen, overlay, or dodge
Posted Image

8. add a C4D ontop of the render so that it makes it look sparkly
Posted Image

9.(optional) desaturate the C4D you put ontop of your render and then colorize it to match you render, you can also do the same to the other C4D's

10. then flattten the image

11. next set your foreground and back ground color to 00097e & b0ff63
Posted Image

12. duplicate the layer and go to filters | colors | map | gradient map
Posted Image

13. set the top layer at color at 20-40%
Posted Image

14. flatten the image again

15. then set your foreground and background colors to ff6363 & 9a8cff
Posted Image

16. duplicate the layer and do another gradient map.
Posted Image

17. next do the same as steps 13. & 14.
Posted Image

18. now find two colors that match the render and repeat steps15-16
Posted Image

19. Now duplicate the layer again and go to filters | artistic | softglow
Posted Image

20. set the softglow layer to screen and mess with the opacity.
Posted Image

(steps 21-25 are optional)

21.now lets mess around some more...flatten the image and then duplicate the layer again

22. grab the vine brush and brush all over the duplicated layer
Posted Image

23. set that layer at overlay, varying opacity. flatten the image
Posted Image

24. select a rectangular a rea covering almost all of the sig and press ctrl+I
duplicate the layer
Posted Image

25. next go to filters | distorts | video | and select 3x3 . press ok. then lets set the layer at soft light at 50% opacity.
flatten the image
Posted Image

26.Now you can add text and a border.

27. and then your'e done :l:

SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO!! :)

all credit goes to Vo1ture for finding these C4D's

just place them where you want them and put them on screen and then they will look right or they can be placed on overlay or dodge or hard light. the black background is supposed to be there

Most tutorials that start with 'brush' are pants, but this is surprisingly sophisticated; nice one! :w:

Well I got a stock and played around with it for a couple of minutes till it looked pretty cool. Then... I realized that I completely forgot that I have no c4ds >_<. The world is turning against me.

Thats exactly what I wanted to say but I lacked the thinking space to put it into words! So I'll be stealing your post now...

Nothing but most of us prefer to not saying the word that describes the poop of an animal whose name sounds like "full"

On topic: softglow absolutely owns, but I've never seen it in a tutorial (that I remember, anyway) so nice one, on that front.

Yeah, sooo many filters under the "artistic" section are ignored. Only ones I've ever seen in a tut were GIMPressionist, cubism, and oilify.
