If I were you I'd remove the scanlines and alter the border a bit though.

I like the effect, its simple but turns out nice. Here's my stab at it, I think I got a bad randomization or something cause I had a heck of a time getting rid of the completely black parts. But this is what I got.

Nice tutorial. For some reason it reminds me of a few BF3 backgrounds. I might give it a try today.
Toot's Tips
1. I never center a focal / Render. It never looks good. There are a few exceptions, but a render of a person (even anime or a drawing of a person) should never be centered.

2. Never ever go too crazy with c4d / fonts / fractals / stocks. It can completely destroy what ever image / tag you are trying to create.

Previously I was not good enough in illustrator but only for the passion of logo design I have learnt this technique. Your tutorial also help me.

I had fun with this tutorial! So I decided to play around with it a bit and started out with a background of wrinkled paper. I'd like to share, but it seems you can't use Flickr here...
