Okay i originally made this for photoshop, but i wanna see if this would work for gimp, just ask me if u have any problems with it or theres something on the tut for photoshop that wouldnt work for gimp, i know the smudge settings wouldnt work but theres not much smudging and not very visible

plz give it a go

I don't suppose someone could point me to a few sprites? I have never used any and would like to try adapting this tutorial, but I'll need a sprite to do it with.....

wow, a big large area of black :w:
some of it will work but some of the smudging options and layer options wont. nice outcome. will give this a try later

You don't need photoshop. This tutorial can easily be GIMPed. Well for you guys anyway. I need to go make some c4d renders my philosophy of blazeboymatatatata won't let me use other peoples <.<

Everything will work the same, except the smudging part, since gimp's smudging tool is bad.

Its amazign how great photoshop's smudging is compared to GIMPs.

How did you get that flow thing you used in the first step???

This is the first sig tutorial I think I've followed, and the fist time I've used a sprite, so...
My first result is pretty bad.

omniuni, its a c4d, i rubbed out the bits i didnt want, its an okay result i guess, but u only add one c4d, u hardly followed it

c4ds are 3d renders, go to http://www.gamerenders.com go to resources and get the 60 c4d effect pack

ill try this 2morrow, but the thing thats hard to get around is the smudging, GIMP smudge lacks in comparison to PS smudge
