Hi everyone,
I found this site called "Teach yourself GIMP in 24 hours". It's an online version of the book put out by Sams. It has some good explanations and some tutorials in the chapters as well.
I looked around and didn't see it posted here. If it was posted before, sorry, I missed it.

This is indeed a great information for gimp users. It has not been posted on forum before your topic. I highly appreciate your input, and thank you for your contribution.
I will clip this topic, so that people find it immediately as they enter the forum.

The site the above link referrs to has been hijacked I think. The link now takes you to a search engine in Russian I think.
Oh well, maybe we can get it back some time.

Does anyone know for sure if the SAM's GIMP in 24 Hours" book is legally being posted? I do not see anything about it being released for public distribution.
I am the Curator for an animation site's Wiki Encyclopedia and I do not wish to link to that book unless it is appropriate (I imagine GIMPtalk.com would feel similarly).
If anyone is interested, there are a few tutorials for the GIMP and GIMP-GAP in the Brickfilms Encyclopedia (Click here).

Hi, saulgoode. Welcome to the boards!
Very good point about the book. I've seen numerous links to it at Google to various sites, but don't know if those links are legal. We'll look into it and post our findings here, and, if illegal, remove the link.
Appreciate the input.

I think the Sam's book is just out dated or didn't sell very many copies. Orielly has posted alot of their older books online as well.
I am sure Sam's is aware that book is being posted and would of had it removed if they wanted too. You could always ask them.
