Okay, well, today we will be making this signature, that includes the joker, to find the render, just go to planetrenders.com, register, and search up Joker, in the search bar. Anything else in this tutorial is made by me, and I don't have any way of releasing it.

Now, Step 1:
Make a new image, I used 400x150 (it had a white bg, so I can't show you it :/
Step 2:

On that layer, take a gradient that matches your render (I used a Green Black Green Yellow custom gradient) and then smudge it only a little bit with a random brush, I used a splatter brush for this.
Step 3:

Open up the render you are going to use, and scale it down to a size that is reasonable, I use a lot of busts in my sigs, I like the general look of them, and the way the come out
Now move the render below your gradient layer.
Step 4:

Now, take your render, duplicate it, and move the duplicated render up to the top, and scale it about 2x the size of your original render, now, you will want to take any brush that has a lot of holes in it, I used a splatter brush for this next part. Take the brush, and set your SMUDGE settings to
Rate 50:00 Brush Dynamics: Perspective Size: 150-300
Smudge it around, kind of try not to overdo it, but leave one part a little bit more eligible than the rest, and then take a smudge brush at rate 30:00 and smudge it up to loosen the effect a bit. Once you have done that, go up to FILTERS>ENHANCE>SHARPEN and adjust the sharpen settings until you get something that looks like mine.
Step 5:

The easiest part of the entire sig, duplicate your smudged up render, duplicate it, and set the top layer's layer mode to Overlay, this darkens the background up a little bit.
Note: Every single thing you do from now on, will be under the duplicated smudged render layer.
Step 6: (OPTIONAL)))))))))))))

This step is entirely optional, what I did was I took a few wireframes I made, and just set the layer mod to multiply, so I got a nice little texture added to the background.
Step 7:

This is where a little bit more smudging experience comes in, you will want to take two of the render, duplicate them, and move them above the wireframe (if you did it) and below the duplicated smudge layer.
Take the bottom of the two render layers, and then get a brush that is more solid then the previous ones, but still has a few holes around the edges in it. Take your smudge settings and make them this
Rate: 100:00 Brush Dynamics: Pressure Opacity Size: 50-200
The size of the brush depends on the brush itself, you will need something big, that will grasp what you want with one swipe, but not too big where it will take away what you don't want.
Take your brush, and go for generally the bulk of the color, if you are doing a bust, try to go for the shoulders, kind of like it is exploding. Then, lower the brush size, and push away from the head.
Step 8:

Now, take the top render, and sharpen it if needed. You will want to use a very solid brush (I used the default extreme fuzzy brush) Take the brush, using the same settings as before, but change the RATE to 20-40. Now, smudge the base parts of where you smudged before, I only did it on the shoulders of mine, because anywhere else looked unnatural, play around with it until you get a nice blending effect like mine.
Step 9:

Now just add a little bit of text to your sig, and adjust it to how you like, this part is all about personal preference, also, add a border if you would like.
Step 10:

Now for the final part, that can take very long if you don't know what you are doing. What you want to do for this, is right click any layer, and select New From Visible, then find and pick a gradient that sort of goes along with the colors of your entire render, but also gives off a little bit of exotic colors, in mine I used a gradient with >Purple/Black/Yellow/Blue< now, go to Colors at the top bar, and scroll down to find Map>Add Gradient Map, and play with the effects, by lowering the opacity, and using the Overlay, and all that other stuff, this part, if you are not experienced with Gradient Maps will do a lot of experimenting.
Now, we are done, you have a beautiful sig
Have a Nice Day,
Cliche (Brian)
