Hello all!

It's been quite a while since I posted anything - one leads a busy life...

Anyway, I'm back to playing with my Wacom tablet, and trying to get a handle on painting with it.

Here, I just opened a blank canvas and started sketching slowly adding more detail as I went. It's rough, and the perspective is a bit skewed, but believe me, it's an improvement over what I was doing.

Do mine eyes deceive me? A dwarf painting? :D

I like it. The only thing I would address is the beard. It is done well, but it seems to stand out compared with the rest of the image.

I look forward to seeing completed image.

This was just a practice piece that I probably will never "finish". I'm having a really hard time with hair/beards. I think it's the way I'm layering the colors.

Try to get/download a "fur" brush, and use a gradient of the color you'd like for the beards or hair of the head.
