Hey you guys, I hope your day has been filled with wonderful sweets and joy, because it is going to be ruined by my horrible attempt at using a large canvas. Lol, it is my first try at making something that isnt a signature or avatar. So, I was fiddling around and tried out this break away effect in a John Lennon tribute, mainly because John Lennon is my idol. Well, here is my thingy majig, please leave comments on it, and how I can do better

I like the text with your name. I would stick to a way smaller canvas though. It is kind of weird and the effects aren't working for me. It's alright for a beginner So, with that being said try out some tuts and keep practicing. Love your current signature :-)

:D thanks for your thoughts! I might try some tuts with wallpapers and stuff, but after I did that, I have to say, large canvas' are really hard! you just have soo much to fill! And thanks :D I got the render from dreamitaph, and used the fractal packs from greentunic, and then i used a CG from somewhere, and I just did a lil magic, it only took me about 10 minutes, lol.

We have the GIMP Digital Artwork Section for things that aren't quite meant as sigs or avatars for the future :D

I really like the fact they you tried taking advantage of the filters gimp has when you made this :D So many people overlook them including myself sometimes :( I agree on everything crunch said, also i feel like john lennons a bit over blurred kinda of distorting the whole thing. But its always good to break out of our comfort zones and try new things, i don't think I've ever done anything of this size, sigs and avatars for me haha :)

Nice job can't wait to see more work from you :)

Thanks, you always leave me positive feedback, however, always help me improve, and the reason I didn't get the John Lennon render sharpened is because I didn't know about that filter :/. Next time I will try something that wasn't taken in the 70's LOL! Perhaps a CoD, or Assassins Creed Wallpaper :D
