I took a bunch of photos of recent eclipse and I was hoping to use gimp to improve them as I can't afford photoshop.

Any hints? Are they not fixable? Does anyone know anybody who might be able to fix them?

I have included a couple samples the rest are on flikr, any help would be greatly appreciated

They don't seem to be the original images, but something reprocessed by some "Accusoft".

Well they where taken by B&W film then put on a CD from the photo place but that's the only way I can get them to my computer, think they might have been out of focus from telescope...just wondering if the can be sharpened up or fixed with Gimp.

I'm afraid they are beyond repair, with Gimp or any software...

Theoretically you can just draw it out from scratch, no one need know they aren't real.
