Having a few problems

- the behavior of the brush outline is weird. The brush outline only draws while making a stroke. This makes it very hard to set the size of the brush, and place the start of a stroke.

- Transform tools lag while previewing the transform.

- floated layers can also be very slow to move. 2.8 draws an unnecessary outline around the contents of a float layer while moving. Apparently 2.8 can't render that border fast enough.

Solved the first problem by duplicating and modifying an existing brush dynamic instead of creating a new one.

Well I was wrong again. I got the brush outline because I didn't uncheck velocity when I duplicated the existing dynamic. With pressure and velocity controlling size, I get a brush outline. With only pressure controlling size, I get no brush outline. So my choice is between getting a large variation in line width (pressure only checked) and no brush outline, or getting the brush outline and little variation in line width (pressure and velocity both checked)?

Have peoople stopped using this forum?

Three more problems -

Pressure opacity - Pressure input seems to map form 0-20% brush opacity, instead of 0-100%. No matter how hard I press down on the Cintiq, it takes several brush strokes to achieve 100% opacity. A serious problem.

Selection by clicking on layer - doesn't work. I've tried it by alt-clicking and windows+alt+click. It doesn't do anything.

Layer linking - in 2.6 you could ctrl+click on a link and activate/deactivate all the links at once. Is this totally gone, or is there another way to do it now?

Personally, Yes. This forum has increasingly become unusable. GimpChat is much more active.
