Hi
I want to create an iOS icon. As it does with application icons, iOS automatically adds some visual effects to your icon so that it coordinates with the built-in icons on the Home screen. Specifically, iOS adds: rounded corners, Drop shadow and a reflective shine on top.

I dont have a problem with a drop shadow but I fail at creating the rounded corners and a shine. Any help how to do it. by the way the measurements are 57 x 57 pixels as well as 114 x 114 px

Thanks

What I have done sofar is underneath. my own TK.png icon

For the rounded rectangle I used rectangular select with these settings:

Then I used the paths tool to make something like this"

I clicked once on left side of image, once on right, then ctrl click and dragged the center down.

I used path to selection in the paths dialog, filled the are with white. I added a layer mask to the layer and put in a black to white gradient:

I also lowered the opacity on that layer.

Put on some last few finishing touches and decided I was satisfied.

And post in General Help next time, like 2 people read the General Requests forum.

Ok I lied, the perfectionist in me wasn't satisfied with that one at all.

Thank you Solartide - in the meantime I solved it - but I think your solution is the best. See the file underneath.
