Newbie Gimp Question - Cannot find Page Setup in 2.8

Where should I be looking? In earlier versions, Page Setup was under the File tab, but, for the life of me, I can't find it anymore.

If you already have an image you are editing, there is no page set-up. You can't change the orientation of an existing image - it is what it is. I guess you could change the size of the canvas if that is what you want to do - but then you'd have to add parts to the image, or trim it to a new aspect. If you want to change the canvas it's under Image > Canvas Size.
By the way "print orientation" is changed in your print dialog for your printer, not in GIMP.

Solution: Copy the print.exe from an old Gimp (for me 2.6.12)in the main plugin folder of Gimp and overwrite the print.exe from 2.8. After that you have the Page setup back and printing will work. You might have to change the image size in the properties tab of the print dialog though.
System: Win XP 32 Bit German.

I started with the 2.8.0 version and it took me a while to get off the ground. Powerful programs have longer learning curves. What brought me here is the "No PageSetup" issue. No way to choose portrait or landscape mode in any of the gimp menus. For the record I am running Windows XP Pro with SP3. Credit for the solution goes to JGK in post number 3 here. The reason I am posting this is to say his solution worked for me too. I had to download and install the version 2.6.12 on another computer then attach the printer.exe file to an email and send it to my laptop. I didn't delete the version 2.8.4. I just renamed it and, as it turned out, it was good that I did it that way. The reason I chose the 2.6.12 is that I also read others tried different versions and didn't have any success. I am not saying others don't work - just that 2.6.12 worked for me. I now have "page setup" as an option in my file dropdown. That's the good news - if you can call it good news.
Now the bad news...For all practical purposes, and as it has been mentioned before by others posting...the portrait/landscape setting/selection is available in the printer settings of your printer when one goes to print the page. What I found is that using the new "page setup" option with the old printer.exe file (2.6.12) DOESN'T DO ANYTHING!!! Whatever setting one tries just gets IGNORED.
So the moral of this story is DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME looking for a page setup in GIMP or trying to install something to get it. Use the setup options in YOUR CURRENT PRINTER when you go to print. I am deleting the printer.exe ver 2.6.12 and using the one that came with the GIMP 2.8.4 install. I think the developers know what they are doing.
And THANKS AGAIN to the GIMP team for their FANTASTIC work.
