how can i use Tablet pen and Mouse at the same time?

Long story short tablet is good for sketching and mouse is good for pathing, but i cant use both at the same time
What can i do??

I need to point out that disabling the pen doesnt helpme i need the pressure feture on

im using gimp 2.8 on windows 7 32bits, usng an acteck di-pen5500 tablet pen

Yes, you can use both at the same time. Just be aware that you have an active Tools (and its options) set per pointing device (mouse, stylus, and 2nd tip of stylus with some tablets) (so that you can switch from Brush to Path editor by merely grabbing the mouse).

A tablet is also very usable for pathing, though.

I have a Wacom Bamboo.

I can start Gimp, open an image, use the mouse, put the moiuse away, grab the tablet stylus, add a a couple of strokes, come back to the mouse. Never tried to use both together, one in each hand...

When you use both mouse and a tablet, you get a different Tool asociated to each, for instance the brush on the tablet and the Clone tool on the mouse, so you can change Tools by changing pointing device. And if you use the same Tool, you can have different settings.

This is true on both Windows XP and Linux.

If your tablet doesn't let you do it, its driver isn't correct.

I cant do that, i open gimp, use the mouse, then i grab the stylus use it, but now i cant use the mouse
