Welcome to GIMPtalk!

A nice start. :) I can't see your second image, but a hint is to avoid using the lens-flare filter. The reason is that it has been used so much that most people immediately recognizes it as a cheap filter-effect rather than the effects of hard work.

Anyway, the colours and letters look fine. Are these your intiails or similar?

yes i to agree with this, if one wants effects *work for it* my advise is use stock photos, i found a GREAT deal fine looking stock im ages to be used as effects later on thats why i try to avopid the lens flair fliter...only the ONLY way i use that is with afew dragonball z and metroid...thats about it.

It depends on how you use the lens flare...I use it often but I erase the "top" part of the lens flare and then use white with lower transparency with fuzzy brush and smudge.

That aside....Nice work! I like ittt! :)
