Helllllooooooo!
Here are 2 Characters that some of you know for a wile! I've been drawing them for years actually, since hmmm...2009 or something, my little creatures Mei the Feather Tailed Rabbit (Purple), and Maiko the corkscrew mouse (Orange)! I actually drew Maiko as the first drawing ever in gimp and I think Mei was like the 2nd or 3rd!
I normally draw them hardlined as that's my normal style but I wanted to try and make them become more alive so I tried it in my other non hardline style...I wouldn't call it realistic idk what you call it but it's not hardlined. XD
I prefer the hardline style myself (as do others) but the non hardlined are the most challenging so I do them just so I can know I can! Lol

Oh I remember the corkscrew mouse! I think we joined the forum about the same time, because I remember seeing the mouse whenever I would log in to post a drawing.

This scene has a very nice mood to it. The atmosphere came out very nice. I much prefer the non-hardline style. I think a faint, thin outline may help enforce the boundaries of the different objects in the scene. It shouldn't be that noticeable, but would help in the low-contrast areas.

Ye I see how things seem to kinda attach a lil much and could use dome separation. Lol...x:.. Ye! Maiko is old, but not retired =P, I originally made her for a story I was writing but I never finished it so...Oh well lol..The characters still live on even if the story never got to have life. xD...I'm glad you liked it thank you for the comment! ;D
