It's a feature that came with the site update, even though i think you joined after the site update 
Anyway its the little plus as the bottom right of each post, people click it if you help them or give good advice or what not Personally i dont think very many people use it, but i would take it as a complement if someone votes up your rep and what not

yes i visit your page and i found a lot of mistake on it related to reputation concept. you must do some more research about that.
