I wonder if finally the 2.8 version will have a decent support for the Wacom graphic tablet.

Gimp 2.6 works OK with my Wacom bamboo on both WinXP and Ubuntu 10.04.

I have both 2.6.11 and 2.7.5 running in Linux.
And they both work fine with my Wacom Bamboo.

Its now safe to say tablet support is going to be there for both widows and linux. However, some glitches are to be expected as GTK2 suffers from a few now minor issues in regards to tablets that are fixed in GTK3 where tablet support was nicely rewritten(with hotplug too) and its not practical to port all of it to an old version.

A "tablet" in this forum isn't an iPad clone, but a user input device (that usually supports "pressure" along the usually X/Y coordinates).

There is no Gimp for Android yet...
