Hello people,

As you no doubt have noticed, GimpTalk is now and then returning errors; sometimes when clicking on a topic, sometimes (but much more rarely) when trying to enter the forum itself. The server admins/owners of GT (Ali Imran/Ali Roman) tell me this is due to the forum corrupting one or many database tables. It seems to be different tables corrupting over time, hence the trouble to figure out the reason and fix it.
Usually whenever staff notices such problems we contact the server admins and they will fix things as soon as they can - nevertheless this sequence of events means that there is a delay before the whole forum gets back to normal. Alas, this is not something we "regular" staff can usually fix on our end, all we can do is wait with the rest of you guys for the server people to fix the database trouble so we can keep on gimping in peace.

I've gotten some questions from worried users asking if the problem is on their end - I hope this thread will clarify that it is not.
