Heya guys, since I'm seeing a new wave of people that are in to drawing I figured I'd post this up.

It's been a lonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg wile since I've seen a drawing or paining competition around here, I think it's time we get a move on!

Rules:

No vulgar or overly violent artwork
No ripping another person's art/character (You may draw fan art but give credit to the original person's idea)
No racism, sexism or any other negative ism...

Allowances:

You are allowed to draw in any style (anime, manga, realistic, your own special style, ect...).
You are allowed to make it rather big, just be reasonable.
You are allowed to used a start off sketch from paper or a line art that was drawn on paper as a base, anything else must be done in gimp or another program.
If you like to sketch in MS. Paint you are allowed to use paint.

Programs that are allowed:

• Gimp
• My Paint
• Inkscape
• Blender
• Synfig
• Alchemy

If you wish to use another program ask first.


What do I get out of this?

One you get accomplishment if you win but you win, you'll get a choice, you can either get the XCF to this painting....


Or a special picture made by me, what ever you wish to pick as your prize.


Scoring:

The person in first place gets a choice of their prize and a badge.
The people from 2nd-last place get a small badge they can put in their signature.
If there is a tie there will be extended voting for 1 day, and if no vote is given the 2 people will get a joined picture.

You get a total of 3 edits before voting, use them wisely.


Can I post my entry for critique?

Yup you can!

Yeah, since some might wanna draw cause they can't paint or the other way around.
Pretty much free style, be yourselves! (within rules =P)

Now if you want a theme I could give you one. =P

Ahhhhhhhhhh, I totally forgot about this. D:
My computer's broken, and I'm stuck with this crappy school notebook laptop. I've got MyPaint and Alchemy on it, but my tablet half works with it - it can control the cursor, but there's no pressure sensitivity. So that might be a problem.
I still might be able to produce some sort of sketchy thing in MyPaint though, even without pressure sensitivity. I'll try and enter something. C:

Only 1 USB port? Or too slow? lol

No, I can, and I have. I was saying that because I'm unable to install the tablet drivers on the laptop, the tablet can only control the laptop's cursor, but won't provide any pressure sensitivity.

I know, it's really, really boring, with neither Photoshop nor pressure sensitivity, I didn't really know what to do, sorry. :C
100% MyPaint, by the way, so I didn't actually end up using Alchemy.
