connor232 hi,

I find both of those photographs to be interesting. I especially like the second image. Nice landscape shot. I like the focus on the tree in the center. The photograph, as taken, was underexposed (a little dark), however, with digital cameras that can be worked with. It's when a photograph gets overexposed (too much light let in) that an image can lose details (it's usually the opposite with film cameras). However, I began making adjustments in Gimp and here is what I was able to come up with:

Posted Image

I lightened up the original photograph, did some slight color adjustment, and if you notice some of the darker regions of the original photograph, I used the Dodge/Burn tool set to Dodge and set on a very low Opacity and very low rate using a larger sized Fuzzy Brush, slowly teased the details out of the dark black regions of the photograph. The nice thing about digital photography is learning how to use tools like Gimp and others to bring out the highlights in a photo.

I hope none of this came across as too harsh. I like taking photographs and have been doing so for years. I am not a professional, so someone else may have a different opinion from me about the photographs. Thank you for posting those two photographs. I look forward to seeing more of your work if you choose to post it as well. Thank you.

:)

yeh , thank you for the feedback and i do see the improvement in the image , to tell the truth i wern't concentrating as you can see in the image with the tree theres a pylon mid-left and don't like the weeds on the bluebells , i was testing the quality of my camera (its not a professional camera but a vivitar 7025. but thank you for the feedback/improvements and i will most certainly post more of my work , thanks.

EDIT: The first image seems too crowded?
