It's probably just me, but I feel there are too many special effects competing for attention here. Giant lens flares on every light, an almost bump-map-like sheen on every surface. Then everything is blurred, and the guy himself has two additional motion blurs moving in opposite directions.

I think this could be greatly improved if you hand-painted the light flares, toned down the shininess of the buildings, lessened the blur, and only used motion blurring in one direction on the guy in mid-air.

It's not terrible, just needs a little more work. ;)

you are right about the contradicting motionblurs. I don't know why that happened. i considered hand painting the lights, but thought is might be cooler in blender. thanks.

You're doing good so far, I'd just try to get your flow and focus cleared up, as well fix up blurriness. =)

Nice job! (=

I like that one a lot! Just make sure it doesn't get blurry and make sure to add some light

Thanks Willis. I will probably get back to that one. this one as well probably could use some lighting treatment.

A fun collection of sketches and works here. You have a good feel for form as noticed in your second post with the black-and-white sketch of the man in the armoured suit. That b&w concept is actually very good - I would even recommend you playing with using those stark black highlights more in your art. With a dramatically reduced colour palette, it would make for a powerful presentation I think. Keep experimenting!

I think i intentionally stay away from colors that have really high or really low value. this might be due to inexperience or laziness. Now that you have pointed it out it will be on my mind more. thank you.

Cute Cyborg, looks a bit unfinished and I also can't really tell what he is doing with his arm.
I think you have a great feeling for perspective, shapes, shadows and proportions, keep that! But when I look at all your stuff, I get the feeling that you could do much with your skills, but get a bit lazy when finishing the pictures... Like in most pictures here the last touch is missing.

Anyways, I really like the Slayers X series, looks really nice :)
