I produced all of these in Gimp. If you're curious what the originals look like they were horrible. I linked the originals above each image (for comparison). I used a crappy disposable film camera which had a red filter built in. I now have a much higher quality digital camera with underwater housing.

To produce them I used the following Gimp features.

[*:3ktxjn6v]Layer Modes: Addition, Subtract, Multiply, Screen, Overlay, Hard Light
[*:3ktxjn6v]Adjusted Hue and Saturation (where colors were over saturated)
[*:3ktxjn6v]Anisotropic smoothing to remove noise (G'MIC plugin) (only applied to two images, I still need to do it to the rest)
[*:3ktxjn6v]Quick Mask (for creating gradient selections and applying layer modes to only parts of the images)

looks better after gimp touch!very nice the tortoise photos!I suggest you paint with red / brown the rocks of the first photo (instead of blue) so the most sense of depth and realism

not bad, but really noisy.
Try to use noise reduction (I suggest G'mic) for better results.
