Thanks PC; not very happy with my external debris result or the asteroid/comment remnants, but definitly enjoyed the play. :)

I don't like the sparks brush ring, but the rest is really nice.

lol; guess that was obvious. Couldn't come up with a better way to create the (greater then) Roche Radius debris field. Any suggestions (I'm all ears)? :)

The small debris size spread is nice, but maybe some orange flares (aside from the white flare aura) from the planet and more contrasted (but generally darker) debris? The flares could break up the monotony in tandem with the large chunk/moon (maybe a couple of slightly smaller ones of those too? I'm not counting these as the same type of debris, btw, if only due to the vastly different impact on the piece) but we don't want to go overboard :P

Yeah; lazy I am (created a circular selection and just stroked it; lol). I thought about hurling matter towards the infant planet too, but then got clever and named it "Not long after the impact" allowing me to infer that all the material that was going to return to the planet had already fell in and what was left was already outside the Roche Radius (see how lazy I am; lol). I agree that the smog could have had more particulate effects added to it though. Oh well; maybe someone less lazy then me can give us their take. I still need to check back with blender; it is Open Source afterall so I don't really have an excuse (other then being very lazy). :)
