Yep its my first tut. I Hope it serves some purpose to you. sorry about all the misspells (key boards terrible at not registering and a pretty big delay with it)

I don't get how you made the fire text though - wasn't very clear. I guess the typos didn't help. lol

With your text create an new layer go to text layer hit alpha to selection on it. the on the layer you created fill with an gradeint
