My very first computer was a TRS-80 Color Computer (and later got the COCO 3) or short name COCO. One of my favorite games was Mega-Bug. Found a cool site that will allow you to play it online (so long as you have Java installed). Click link below for instructions on how to use the site (Scott's site has the link too). Also added some screenshots for fun (click on the thumbnails). Happy I am now. Brought back memories that are way over 25 years old. lol

Will warn you that the sound sucks (cool to hear the Weee Gothaaa sound effect though despite the sorry quality). :)

No where near as good, a asure you Jassie, but when Arcade games cost 25ยข to play then, a lot of parents bought consol games and cheap computers for their kids and this one still has a lot of memories for me. Man has graphics improved since then. lol

edit:

The emulator settings does allow for high quality audio (duhhhh) and it really is good enough sound (even better then what I remembered; lol). :)

Had to re-open this old thread because a guy created a new and improved Mega-Bug that he calls Super Mega-Bug and he shared the link with me. It's open sourced but not comiled for Linux, but he said he would share the code for those who want to compile it on that platform. The sound effects and music is 100 times much improved too. I did install it Sandboxed (paranoid) but I see no fishyness with it. Link to the program below. Can run on 32 or 64 bit platforms as well. :)

Just wanted to keep this thread up to date. The online version of Mocha CoCo emulator changed since I first posted this thread. It's now not hosted directely by Cox communications anymore. Click link below for CoCo emulator. Also, if you want to use javaws to run it (my preferred way), the jnlp link (for WinXP anyway; run it in my XP VM) is:

%windir%\system32\javaws.exe http://www.haplessgenius.com/mocha/mocha.jnlp
(thanks Brad {haplessgenius himself} for emailing me back with the updated info)
