This script quickly runs the edge detect filter on all layers in an animation using the settings you choose. The preview was created by running the script defaults on the lava script preview image.

Download the zip file, open the zip file by double-clicking on it and copy/paste the script to your GIMP scripts folder (ie...C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts). Refresh your scripts and you're ready to go. The script can be located under the Filters > Edge-Detect > Edge Detect All Layers...

Might I make a suggstion? You call these scripts "Animated " which makes me think it is actually creating the animation. The scripts are actually performing a filter in all layers of the image. I would call this script, for example "Edge Detect All Layers" rather than "Animated Edge Detect".

Just my opinion, however ;)

I agree completely, RobA! Thanks for the suggestion. I'm also going to move the menu locations to match the menu location for the filter itself. For example, the Edge Detect All Layers will now go under the Edge menu.

Modified script name and menu location. It can now be found under Filters > Edge-Detect > Edge-Detect All Layers...

Please delete your previous script and download/install the new version.
