Did you shut down GIMP before you started the process and then restarted it afterwards? You have to restart it to see the new scripts.

Yes i did, but the gimptalk option under the scriptfu in xtras doesnt even show up, i restarted it about 10 times, u gotta realize i have been reading tuts and trying for about 4 hrs now, ..i followed this to save it

Quote

Internet Explorer Downloading and Installing Scripts

Click the link to the script above
Click Edit>Select All or CTRL+A
Click Edit>Copy or CTRL+C
Open a text editor – Notepad will work just fine
Click Edit>Paste or CTRL+V
Click File>Save As
You will get a dialog box like the one from FireFox
make sure the setting are all the same the only difference is you need to type in the full name of the script with the .scm at the end
Click save and restart gimp.

Now when you reset Gimp the script will show up in your Xtrs>Script-Fu>Gimptalk.com>Brush_Batch

But see where it says gimptalk.com under script fu, i dont even have that

I am just wondering - when you save the file as .scm in Notepad, did you check that the box below is said All Files (*.*) instead of .txt? Maybe it got saved as a .txt file and that is why it is not showing up??

Yes but my main problem is that say i downloaded it and saved it all right, when do i go to install the thing, it says to look under xtras > script-fu > gimptalk.com > brush_batch, i dont have a gimptalk.com, i go to xtra >script-fu and then theres no gimptalk.com

Nevermind i have figured out another way, for those of u who have no idea how to download the script or it isnt working, have the abr view, and do all with the abr view and export it to a file, then open gimp and click open file and find the file, open the brush then go to script fu>selection>make brush, then just make the file ur own brush...quite simple

you must put them into Brushes directory
Where it is ? - it depends on system.
What system do you use ?
in Linux it is: ~/.gimp-2.2/brushes/

Ok, well after the first time my Abrviewer stopped working.
It kept saying, "We have encountered a problem and have to shut down" or something.
So, I redownloaded it..Was working for the first time again, until I tried to open two.
Then gave me the same message it gave before.
So I redownloaded the .NET
Still doesn't work, and now it isn't doing my scripts correct either.

5: SAVE TO FOLDER - This is where all the gbr brush files are gonna be placed. I selected the folder i created call Keed Dreaming Vol 32

I just put them right into teh GIMP brush folder, faster that way.
Thanks Curly!
