seems like that spam has gone, so awesome. (:

however, i seem unable to search a user's posts. user's topic searching has long since gone, but user posts has normally been there. when i try, it gives me that 'search is currently unavailable. please try again in a few minutes' error, but unlike most times, no matter how many times i try, the error keeps on staying. it used to work after a couple tries, but apparently not any more. :/

That's because of the time glitch. The Ali's haven't fixed everything from it yet.

The "Search Users Topics" function hasn't been working for what seems like years, (and I think it's unrelated to our current time glitch).
Come on Ali's, we all need you! :P

You may have to scroll your window right, because of the ad in the top right corner stretches out the page.

(we want our image to be "gimped", not "photoshopped"; the difference being one can't tell when an image has been properly gimped :) ).

...Why have all of my posts been deleted? I really want to know. Did some hacker get into the system, or have I offended a Mod?

Or this some ironic joke because I complained about hackers?

1) I try to help, but I don't know everything, and I'm not an expert, so I might not be able to fix it.
2) If I don't respond right away, it not that I'm ignoring you, I'm just busy or something.

Demen, it wasn't the doing of any of the staff members I'm pretty sure. Just another glitch... If this happens to anyone else, PM any staff member asap, please.

Are you talking about the search function in the nav bar, or the 'Search user topics' function? The nav bar searching works fine for me.

I've been learning GIMP by myself for a month or so now.
The Tutorials are long. Too long and for the length are not as informative as they could be.
The Help files are like that as well.
There is nothing wrong with this Forum as far as I can see. This is my first night here. Normally anything wrong or uncomfortable is glaring to a brand new visitor.

I'd like the Video tutorials myself.
In fact, if you need help, I'll volunteer my (whatever I have to offer) in the way of organizing and grading the effort before it get's posted.

I really want to learn this GIMP drawing program, and have found the learning curve almost impossible!
So I'm here looking for quick concise answers.

Ali and Ali , the "Goto Page" function is still not working if the page is outside the visible range.
This problem has been mentioned a few times. Surely , this can be easily fixed. It is now over a year since I mentioned the problem.
All other forum boards have this function in working order.

Ali and Ali, it's been a fortnight since I aired my concern about a problem with the "go to page" function.
You have been informed of this problem before.
You have either not bothered to read your own forum or you simply can not be bothered to answer my concerns (which would mean that hold your members, the very people that make this site successful in contempt)!
The site has frequent "hack attacks", downtime, and there are unresolved maintenance issues (such as the date muck up last year that stopped members from posting)
Requests to you for explanations or fixes seem to be completely ignored. It appears that you can not be contacted for site maintenance. (by moderators or ordinary members).
I, as a member for several years, am very disappointed at the way this great site is being maintained and its (now) apparent lack of direction.
I congratulate the moderators for the hard work they have put in and are still putting in. Well done people!
They must feel very frustrated to not have your support.
Myself, I visit this site less and less and unless I see some response from you as owners when people voice concerns I will very likely stop visiting this site at all.

How about having a Work for Hire thread??

I need some work done on some pictures and I'm much too lazy to learn how to do this particular thing (Fairly involved, at least for a newbie like me.) but I'd be glad to hire someone here to do it for me.

Sounds like a win/win, right?
