Okay, this tut will teach you how to render an image (cut the background out). those pesky multi-color background will be away in minutes.

RENDERING AN IMAGE

1. take out your picture. then select-toggle quick mask. you will see a transparent layer of red around your picture.
2. now get your eraser tool soom in and start etching out what you want in the image leaving the background in red.
3. Now do another select-toggle quickmask and your render will be selected. I suggest to save your file now.
4. Now you can copy your render and paste it on your background.

How can i put the background in squares like in the most renders ??

press control + i to select the inverse, and then control k to get rid of the background leaving you with transparency squares

Then i have a white background :s:

Before you cntrl+K select the layer from the layers dialog and right click the layer then click add alpha channel, now when you cntrl+k you will have a transparent background.
