I got quite far and then my computer crashed (*sigh*) I restarted the tuorail and I cant get passed step 3, all I can see is my top layer and nthing else, is there something am doing wrong?

I have smudged the lower layer and the top layer to et rid of the parts I dont want, but I can only see that top layer. sorry for the stupid question,

Ah, I think the problem is that your render does not have a transparent background. If it doesn't have a transparent background, then skip Step 2, as your smudging will only show up on one layer anyway. If your render does have a transparent background, I'm not sure what the problem is, perhaps post some screenshots if you're still stuck. Hope I could help!

Note: It's not a stupid question, every one of us gets stuck by these sort of things at least once in our Gimping career. :)

Great tutorial Pixelated, but for people to know, what spacing do you use? You don't really specify it. Awesome result though, I will post my outcome soon.

My outcome:

Your outcomes much better, I think it was my render choice.

I liked the smudge settings with the vine brush, but the round brush didn't come out good for me. I loved the gradient maps you used too, they made it, oh, so much better.

I'm doing this tut right now, but I have a question: What is GREYC? I have heard of it before, but I have never been able to find it.
