I think these are two of the BEST sites you can upload your images at. Neither will attach ads to your pictures (Do fish get thirsty?), or secretly hyperlink the picture to an ad.

http://www.tinypic.com
This website is good for quick uploads, like when you're an unorganized person and just want a place to upload that gets the job done. This one is perfect for just that; don't use some unrecognized, random upload site that'll put ads on the picture. After uploading, it redirects you to your picture, with IMG tags right there, click to copy. Then paste it in a post or siggy here. If you want a place that is more like "login and see all the pictures you've uploaded", see the next link.

http://www.photobucket.com
Yep, log in and see all the pictures you've uploaded. It has some neat features built-in, like sharing with friends and slideshows. You probably won't need the extra features if you're just uploading files for here, but you never know. To get the IMG tags, after uploading the picture, put your cursor over the image and it will give different share options, including [IMG]. No ads-on-pictures here, too.

Please, for the sake of your images, use one of the above, or another trusted and well-known source, such as Imageshack.
(I guess this goes in general help, since it relates to GIMPworks, but nothing specific.)

Yay, pinned. lol.
But this is important stuff, here.

(we want our image to be "gimped", not "photoshopped"; the difference being one can't tell when an image has been properly gimped :) ).

I guess it might. I just thought since uploading sites are a big part of getting the images on the forum, then people should know about it...
A mod can move this topic if needed.

I have been using FreeImageHosting.net. It is a little bit slow but it seems to do the job.

PS: I moved this topic to Resources and pinned it.

You clearly missed truimagz.com/host

It accepts almost every file to host. Just sign up, right click and click upload! Easy as that!

For files less then 1.5MBytes, I use the Shack (already many have shown the link). Been using the Shack almost since they first started back in 2006. Some issues and a few of my images eventually went to the ether, but that's the site that I recommend highly. For larger files (and they don't have to be for just images), I used Microsoft's Skydrive. It's free, but requires registration (the Shack really does too if you want to manage your images). You do not have to have a Hotmail account (I don't). I've hosted a few brushes with Skydrive since they were pretty big files (mainly GIH brushes). :)

OK; the Shack too: http://www.imageshack.us

Anyone got a link to where you can download the Imageshack program as that should be on the list for sure :D
ImageShack Program
If someone finds a nicer one feel free to post it, I got Apophysis eating up half of my computer's power so Firefox keeps freezing
