I started all over again, and the same thing is happening:

3rd attempt:

No progress...

As for my Gradients tool, here's a screenshot of the stuff and everything...

I set all the settings the write way...

Darn, Darn, Darn!!! It says that I can't upload (or attach) my file because "The File Size May Be Too Big For The Server To Upload."

*sigh*... :a:

Sure. This is after I TRIED to apply the gradients to the lower section of the tube...
Posted Image
I merged the layers down so that the Tube and the Background became one.

Here, mine. Not that hard.
Posted Image

What i did, was when you press the pink box to get the selection from the channel, you invert it, cause it just selects blank space if you dont >_>

Did you apply the gradient before or after you merged the layers? The reason I'm asking is this. You see that little box under your canvas where it says 'Selection Mask copy'? It looks like you don't have the tube selected, but the mask.

Okay, I'll try it again from scratch...

This time, I'll add the Gradients BEFORE I merge the layers, and I'll take Shockdrop's tip under consideration...

I'll edit this when I'm done...

Do your merge first. Alpha to selection. Add new transparent layer. Apply gradient on the new layer.

Yeah, thats right.

And i made a black line, then a white line beside the black one on a new layer, and set ti to overlay, then duplicated it and changed opacity by 25.

Looks like you're on the right track, now! Instead of dragging from left to right to apply your gradient, go up and down. Start about two thirds of the way down the selection and drag down to the marching ants.

D'oh! Had to shift brain cells for a minute. Add another shine layer just like you did the first one. Put your text underneath this layer and play around with the opacity for both of them. That's how I got Wilbur in the glass here:

I'm gonna have to leave you on your own now. I gotta go make a Dr. Seuss hat! (Don't ask)
