i had the same problem the first time i saw it

But it is simple to solve, just change your focus;
the subject is not the bluish part on the left, that is instead the BG

Once you descover which is the BG ,then the subject become clear:
in the darken part more at left you will see a Castle's tower and even its windows

@Demen

was a nice edit but you should always focus on edit the subject not the BG (if not for blur , desaturate,or delete , all those operations on the BG for contrast make the subject pop out)
Editing with such attention and care the BG...you created a optical illusion were the bg grab all eyes attention ,hiding the shape and even the existence of the real subject

###################################################################

this is maybe the most know optical illusion

what you see 2 faces or a mug ?
Here eyes can't decide which is the subject and which the bg because the lack of details and depth of both

Adding appropiate details or depth to the "faces "(eyes ..lips ..) or to the "pot "(some pot decorations..or even just a fill with a convex texture )will immediatly vanish the illusion

I know. Posted Image

I guess I wasn't thinking about it, I was just playing with the colors and effects and landed on something I liked. I like to think of that blue light as massive cables sparking in the distance.

You should see all the steps up to this version. I had some strange images along to way. Neat-looking, but strange.

I'll help you on two conditions:
1) I try to help, but I don't know everything, and I'm not an expert, so I might not be able to fix it.
2) If I don't respond right away, it not that I'm ignoring you, I'm just busy or something.

Right now. I'm about to post the voting thread for the last round, and will be back with a new topic in a bit.

Oh, I thought #24 was to be the last? Guess you changed your mind. (:
New theme seems cool. I'll try to enter.

Nah, I said I'd be doing two more, since 25 is a cooler number than 24. :P

Allow me to suggest a new thread for the announcement of this (using this thread for results or similar), it's easy to miss this restart among the stickies.

I agree, I'll keep this one a sticky and keep the rules/use to display winners.
