I haven't been around too much lately, since I've been settling in at college... but I managed to find the time for this.

Notice:

Piginste1n and Sydney's entries to this round disappeared (I've PM'ed them, so by the time you see this they both may be fixed), and both were hosted on Image Ox. In case this would happen again, try to host contest entries with a site other than Image Ox, at least until we know that whatever problem there might be is fixed.

Gah! I've been so busy and discombobulated that I forgot to start the next round... even after reminding myself a couple times...

I now correct my error!

#004 - Theme: "Sci-Fi"

Deadline: Friday the 26th, 9:00 PM GMT-5

And remember that voting for the last round is still open.

Noah, For us that are over 30 or live outside the US of A what does GAH mean???

Quote

#004 - Theme: "Gah!"

According to Google

Quote

Urban Dictionary: gah
gah blah ugh meh guh god rawr yay bah damn gaa grr girls your mom gosh dammit frustrated arg lol shit bleh gawd hag argh friend gaah jesus guhh gay guuh ...
http://www.urbandict...ne.php?term=gah - 22k - Cached - Similar pages

Can you narrow it down a bit or be a bit more specific, please?

I do hope that one doesn't have to be American or under 30 to understand common expressions/sound effects... It's just as though I had written "gasp!" or "oh, crap!" or "what the?!" but "gah!" is much more universal. You can form more scenarios around it.

For the record, though, my friends in the UK use it a lot more than me. Also, there was recently a little contest on BlenderArtists with the theme, "Oh, crap!" and no one complained, they just made entries...

I'm trying not to pick very specific things, since that what everyone disliked about "disbelief."

Hi, Noah , I asked my Teenage kids, when they came home from High School. One who is a moderator on a Forum knew the word as meaning Grr, frustration, Agh and Sh11t. My other teenager was not sure about the word, and I assure you, he is not a boy with a shy or sheltered nature.
We all understand "oh, Crap". Thanks for clearing that up.

Hmm, I had a couple of ideas for "Gah!" too, but now this got very easy. Definitely participating if I just can find enough time for this.
The theme seems pretty vast, but at least there could be expected to be a lot of entries this time

Since the theme changed to sci-fi, this suddenly fits.
