These fractals were made by me in Apophysis (and edited in gimp). Feel free to use them in sigs and such.

I love all the little details, and that fractal fits really well with the flowery shapes :)

when I first started, I looked for tutorials at places like deviantart.com and found some good ones (like this one: http://burnoutpriest...physis-61860951)
then it's really just a bunch of experimentation - fiddling around with different variations and values in the triangle editor thing
most of my fractals so far have used pretty similar techniques (or at least started out very similarly), so there's actually still a lot about the program I haven't gotten to explore yet
