My first Tutorial/Post :l:

>Anyway open a new image.
>Get the lasso tool and change it's mode to add. (if you don't have modes hold shift)

>Now select some petal shapes (keep them selected until I say to stop)

>Use the bucket tool to fill in the shapes.
>Go into the layers menu (Ctrl L)
>Get a new layer

>Now draw in the highlights, remember to leave a bit of the original colour on each side of the higlight.
>Now go to Gaussian Blur (Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur (IIR)) and use it, I used a 7 on each side but you can fiddle around with it :w:
>Now we get a new layer and let go of our selection

>Ok select a circle region with the circle tool, have it so it overlaps the petal ends
>Now put some plasma in it (Filters>Renders>Clouds>Plasma)
>Now turn the Turbulence all the way up.
>Make it black by going to Tools>Color Tools>Hue-Saturation
>Turn the Saturation down and turn the lighting down to your liking

And you should end up with some thing like this:
