So. I finally got everything! Instead of downloading that GREY thing, I did some stuff on my own, including doing a 3X3 video distortion which you can probably see hints of.

It took a while to get the bluring just right, but I finally got everything. Thanks for the help! Here's my result:

The darned plug in won't seem to appear. Where EXACTLY should I unzip it? and the src file or the whole package?
I got to C - Program Files - Gimp 2.2 - lib - plug ins.

so, Zugartha, did you get GREYCstoration to work? (sorry for the late response)
after you unzip the downloaded file, you just need to copy the one file inside it that has "gimp" and "win32" in it's name (assuming you're using windows) and put it in your plugins folder

nice outcomes everyone :)

Yes, I did use this tutorial to begin with, but yeah, sorry, i possibly raped it =D and yes, it's over-sharpened. I haven't made banners for months, cut me some slack XD Was fun to imitate fire tho, went completely by accident.
