ive got windows 7 (64 bit)
neither version of gap works on my end.
where is the correct place to install gap? mine shows up blank on the location when i install.. give me an exact place down to "c:\"

I gave instructions for linux distros.(which it seems to work for any distro not just debain based).

For windows xp google how to do what you are asking.

No, he is correct, mingw is a gcc compiler/environment for Windows, so the normal make tools should work. Cygwin is another possibility.

I c an't get GAP to load .h264 files. I have an MKV file but it refuses to load that so I extracted it and now have a filename.h264 video file but if I try to load it GAP and GIMP all freeze up and just sit there saying not responding.

Win7 64. Latest GAP and GIMP.

There is a separate folder that contain some additional library to extend audio and video support (as default limited ) to most commune audio format

Anyway i am not sure that .h264 files are included in that supported,

But you may simply convert with some free utility in uncompressed Avi or even better in png frames, Gap work at best with frames

Hello people, I found the extra plugin: Video->Utils->Reverse Layerstack to be failing.
