3D humans are some of the most difficult to model. Fortunately there are free programs out there that can ease the modelling. I use models from the free Makehuman which imports nicely into Blender.

You can see this article.... http://www.ideacosmo...ee-human3D.html ... It is written by me about the free human making and posing software that are available on the internet.

However, between Daz3d and Makehuman, i still prefer the latter. :h:

Thanks for the links and brief summaries! I would have liked to have seen an actual comparison of their respective features and drawbacks though. Just getting a screenshot, a link and a sentence is good in order to find them (thanks for that), but I wouldn't really call it an "article" as it is.

I haven't tried the latest version of makeHuman, but I found the last version rather difficult to handle. It's troublesome to quickly try out a bunch of poses for example, especially since there are no "group move" of various joints. Moving every finger joint into position for example, is a very tedious process. Sure, it's a lot faster than modelling a 3D human yourself, but nevertheless it limits its usability as a quick anatomical reference tool (which is what I would use it for).

Wonderful.

Btw how do I reset everything to default without reopening the program?

I am doing a advanced course of Maya where we usually need more body types.

Thanks a lot for the link.
