nice tut that really looks sweet just... would be good if i could do lightening now :P:D

but i am having one problem for some reason it wont let me add filters | noise | scatter RGB its just not available to be clicked... why is this?

anyways, here ismy try:

this would be my second edit:

You can turn this into a windy effect as well. Just set the angle to 180 on the motion blur. After yougo through fence's tut, go and mess with the wind. go to filters>distorts>wind> and mess with that. then you can get a windy effect. like this:

of course I did not perfect this like fence did, as you can clealy see because it goes in bumps, but that is because I used a different wind setting for each layer.

I tried that, I tried all the layers. I like it this way, though divide was a good method as well.

Hey when i save the sig and when i open there is no rain? i did it step by step and went to animation - playback and it worked then i closed the play back and saved as a gif and the re opend it and nothing happend?

When did the animation a screen pop up and it had play/stop forward , and step well I did step and it went thought the 3 pics and the 3 rain and after I did that I did the gif thing then saved well it did no animaion,well what did I do wrong.

The first thing you must do is to tell GIMP to save it as a gif. Then another window will popup asking if you want the image to be an animation or flattenend (I think that's the second choice). At any rate, you need to specify that it's saved as an animation.

him slef. your rain is working, just the rain is black and ur sig is dark so it isnt very noticable, but on the lighter areas it is
