How would u get the raindrops to slow down if you want them to because when you change the time parameter in the saving to gif interface no matter how much u increase the time it still looks like the indy 500 is going on.

EDIT: Oh I did not know you had to put a time on the layer to control the speed. Should have paid attention
I know I'm in my own little world. But its ok. They know me HERE

That's my result. I think it turned out rather nicely. A mix between the Animated Rain and Tech Sig.

I'm a newbie to Gimp and I totally loved your tutorial. Unfortunately, my pic was too big. I used a picture of the interior of a hotel dining room in Rome for my rain. It was fun watching it rain indoors.

Great lesson..fist time playing with gimp and it worked on a pic of my stepsons very nicely!

I actually have no idea how to use the program, but the instructions were so clear it was basically no problem ( other than trying to figure out where on earth the filters were...and how to add layers...and how to......lol....learned a lot of basics going thru this!

I apologize if this question is in the wrong place, but uh,er...how do I save the animation so it plays with something other than gimp?

Like the kind of animated pics I see here....thanx in advance to all....can't wait to do something really significant with this program!
